Malus domestica Borkh., Theor. Prakt. Handb. Forstbot. 2: 1272 (1803).


Apple fruit slices or, sometimes, pieces, are somewhat round with a reddish skin and beige interior with locules and/or seed at the center, 3-6 mm in diameter.

Nativity and distribution

Malus domestica is only known from cultivation but sometimes naturalized.
