Name and publication

Limonium gerberi Soldano, Atti Soc. Ital. Sci. Nat. Mus. Civico Storia Nat. Milano 131: 254 (1991).


Pieces of the inflorescences, 2-15 cm long, of sea statice occasionally show up in potpourri. The scapes are much-branched with 1-2-flowered spikelets forming short-sided spikes. The calyx is white, drying to beige; the corolla is shriveled with traces of blue or rose-color.

Nativity and distribution

Limonium gerberi is native to Eurasia.
