Flowers. Flowers are of limited use in field identification of cultivated citrus and so are not relied on in this tool. Flower size, petal color, and petal number is variable even within individual plants in cultivated citrus. Pummelos and grapefruits tend to have larger and more leathery flowers than other groups, but even within these groups, small and delicate flowers may be borne.
